So, when newly appointed CEO Connie Tang joined Princess House, a fifty-year-old company in need of some substantial technological innovations, she got right to work.

Discovering the Disconnection Dilemma 

Knowing Princess House’s goal has always been to empower independent business representatives with the latest tools to compete in the marketplace, Connie and her team began to take a hard look at the use of technology within the company, and outside of it. 

With ambitious goals of sales growth, omnichannel expansion, customer demographic diversification, and workforce innovation, it became increasingly clear that they had to think beyond the fax machine. Plus, legacy platforms did not support the type of growth needed in the direct selling channel, particularly regarding mobile technology and social selling platforms. 

Taking a Strategic Approach to Tech

Leading and guiding a multi-disciplinary team of IT/IS associates and external partners—Connie spearheaded a multi-year roadmap for the company’s digital innovation, taking the utmost caution to deploy with little to no business disruption. In a truly collaborative spirit, Connie and her team brought stakeholders along on the journey to understand, learn, adopt, and promote the new technologies, one phase at a time.

Empowering Connectivity & Revolutionary Growth

As a result of the multi-year execution, the newly designed IT architecture replaced many antiquated commercial and operating systems and bolstered its technological readiness for scaled growth. New and advanced systems provided: CRM capabilities, an engine to run commissions, genealogy and incentives, mobile app development, data warehousing and management, improved order entry and robust administration for dynamic merchandising. A new direct to consumer commerce path created new and incremental revenue potential along with web analytics. Additionally, a newly designed ERP with Oracle, JDE, and WMS set the stage for increased efficiency and world class service.
